Ian Renner of Florida earned a Ph.D. in civil
engineering from the University of Florida in
1990. He volunteered his engineering skills to an
NGO and worked in several developing countries,
and says that his proudest achievement there was
building a footbridge that enabled children in a
remote village to get to school during the rainy
season.

apartment and commercial buildings in Orlando and

time as he can with his wife and their two

Before going into real estate full time, he built
a number of bridges around the United States, and
also volunteered his services to an NGO that
worked in developing countries. As busy as he is
