  • Storytale Theater, Ages 2-3 years
  • Presented by Jennifer Jeffcoat of the Los Gatos
    Saratoga Recreation Department, this program is
    filled with imagination from both the parent
    child. Come enjoy the fun with stories, puppets
    and costumes.

  • Parent Me Kidz Yoga, Ages 3-5 years
  • Presented by Jennifer Jeffcoat of the Los Gatos
    Saratoga Recreation Department, this class will
    allow children to tell a story through self
    expression. The focus is on creative and
    controlled whole body movement.

  • Parent Child Bonding and Chant Time, Ages 0-12

    Saratoga Recreation Department, this program
    provides an opportunity for parents to stimulate
    their baby through movement, touch, eye contact
    and facial expressions, all of which can help
    enhance a babys cognitive development and motor
    skills.

  • Books Together This is a volunteer run program
    where children of all ages may drop in and listen
    to stories. Please check schedule for
    dates/times.
  • Homework Together This is also a volunteer run
    program where children of all ages can drop in
    and have a teenager help with homework
    assignments. Please check schedule for
    dates/times.
  • Spanish Storytime Another volunteer run
    program, this afternoon storytime is geared up
    for children of all ages who speak Spanish or
    would like to learn some Spanish. First Thursday
    of each month.
  • Weekly Storytimes - Storytime is a balance of
    participatory listening activities for children
    and their parents/caregivers. These activities
    include story-reading, story-telling, music,
    fingerplays, and movement arranged by the
    Childrens Librarian. Various storytimes are
    held throughout the week. Please check schedule
    for dates/times, based upon childs age. Each
    storytime is followed by a half hour playtime,
    featuring age-appropriate toys. (Due to space
    limitations, strollers are not permitted in the
    childrens room during storytime.)
  • Childrens Knitting Group Co-led by staff and
    volunteers, this group meets each Tuesday from
    4-5pm. Children ages 9 and up are welcome to
    come learn the art of knitting. New projects
    begin each month. Please bring a pair of size 8
    needles.
  • Childrens Book Club Led by staff, this group
    meets once a month to discuss a book, participate
    in a book-related activity, and enjoy the social
    side of the library. Children in grades 3-6 meet
    together at 4pm the last Thursday of each month.
    Stop by the Childrens Reference desk to pick up
    a copy of the current book club title.
