  • It is recognizing positive things we do
  • It is based on strengths rather than weaknesses
  • It is about what is possible rather than what is
    not

Why is it important?
  • In Appreciative Inquiry we do more of what
    works less of what doesnt
  • Encourages us positively by telling us what we
    do right rather than what we do wrong

What We Did
  • Last year The peer counselling mini interviewed
    100 people at the school to find out what they
    liked
  • This year We evaluate the results, find common
    positive themes in the interviews, and, from
    this, find ways to further improve the school

Dream for the Future
  • In the future, University Hill will become an
    even better school than it already is. Our new
    school will house improved equipment and
    facilities while keeping the small size that
    makes U-Hill so great. It will also continue to
    have no bells and be surrounded by nature.

Dream for the Future
  • In this future school, there will be a diversity
    of students with each of their needs met. Our
    students and teachers will continue to have close
    relationships with each other through our various
    clubs and teams while our teachers will continue
    to be as encouraging and humorous as they are
    today.
