- I was born in Vancouver, British Columbia on
November 2nd. - ( Please take a moment now to mark your
calendars.)
3Part II (A Bit Later)
- Shortly after my birth
- I was a little older.
4Part III Even Later Still (1986)
- After a previously uneventful childhood, I began
to study music at the age of 5 ½.
5Part IV Not really the beginning anymore (1987)
- I began attending Cliff Drive Elementary School
in Tsawwassen, a small suburb of Vancouver.
6Part V Getting closer to the middle (1992)
- I joined the Vancouver Youth Symphony in
September, and stayed with this organization
until 1998. During my tenure, we undertook tours
of Australia, Russia and the Netherlands.
7Part VI The middle (1994)
- I started high school at South Delta Secondary.
8Interlude I Some Things That I Like
- Novelists Timothy Findley, Mark Haddon and Trevor
Cole - The opera Four Saints in Three Acts by Virgil
Thomson and Gertrude Stein - Cats (the animal, not the musical!)
- Music libraries
- The recent film Children of Men
- Fine dining
9Part VII After the Interlude
10Part VIII Ah, yes. Now I remember
- In 2004, I completed my B.Mus at UBC and went
directly into graduate school at DePaul
University in Chicago.
11Part IX More Recently
- In June, I completed my M.Mus in Chicago and
moved back home to Vancouver.
12Part X Even more recently than that
- In January 2007, I began the MLIS program at UBC.
13Interlude II Some More Things I Like
- Flash cartoons and movies
- Composing music
- Traveling to new places
- Playing computer games
- Ducks
