    and interview WWII veterans.

  • Students will be able to
  • Apply the five themes of geography to accurately
    describe where they live.
  • Research the state of Hawaii, focusing on Oahu.
  • Analyze historical events in the context of WWII.
  • Discuss the common information and different
    perceptions of the events of Pearl Harbor and
    Hiroshima with students in class, Hawaii and
    Japan.

  • Interview- teleconference with Pearl Harbor
    survivors in Hawaii and Japanese students.

Assessment
  • The final assessment will be a graded journal
    that each student will keep throughout the
    interactions and learning experiences with the
    Hawaiian students, Japanese students and WWII
    veterans.
