Auto Recognition What is Auto Recognition
  • What is Auto Recognition and where to find it?
    Auto Recognition is a new option to
    automatically recognize clashing parts and to
    enhance their 2D view representation. Using this
    new option ensures a deterministic representation
    in 2D.
  • The option can be activated (deactivated) on
    Update Mode menu in general for new drawing /
    view creationorfor each single view - in the
    View Properties menu.

Auto Recognition Usage

  • When to use the Auto Recognition option?
  • If there are clashes in an assembly (especially
    micro clashes), when all or some of the parts
    that are clashing in the assembly are no real
    pressfit parts but accidentally clashing
  • If you work with mixed resolution assemblies /
    parts

Auto Recognition Order of Clash Handling
  • The order of Clash Handling
  • Thread handling (checks and handles parts with
    thread attributes)
  • Pressfit handling (checks and handles parts with
    pressfit flags)
  • Auto Recognition (checks and handles all other
    clashing parts)
  • Fall Back Strategy
  • Auto Recognition will be used as fallback
    strategy when the thread or pressfit checks are
    not successfully performed (1). Then the system
    automatically uses the Auto Recognition method,
    even Auto Recognition was not activated (no user
    interaction required).
  • 1) Cases where the system receives a signal
    during the necessary Boolean operations (possibly
    caused by different geo resolutions of the
    parts) or where the body checker recognizes the
    Boolean result to be corrupt.
  • Known Restriction
  • Graphical Update is not supported by
    Auto Recognition

Auto Recognition Examples / Update with
different versions
  • Update result with version 12.0 Several lines
    are missing after update.
  • Update result with version 13.01, using Auto
    Recognition
  • With version 13.01 an improved propagation
    handling was implemented and the new option Auto
    Recognition handles clashing parts in a very
    enhanced way. The view shows less missing lines,
    compared to previous versions.
  • Note When unexpected clashes exist on the
    assembly, Auto Recognition will handle this
    clashes on face level and it can happen that some
    hidden lines will be represented because they
    will not be split.
