- With the dust having now settled after the
historic staging of the Combined National
Championships for Junior, Senior and Veterans
Events of the SATTB together with the SASAPD
Junior and Senior Events it is now time to
reflect on this most challenging endeavor in our
recent history. - Let me begin by expressing my sincere thanks and
appreciation to all the participants at this
event. Your positive spirit despite the sometimes
chaotic period during the eight days of these
Championships leaves me satisfied that there is
enough goodwill and tolerance within the table
tennis family of able and disabled athletes and
officials. Our inclusion policy is here to stay.
2Presidents address continued In the rest of
the newsletter we give an update on the upcoming
World Cadet Challenge (WCC) and World Junior
Circuit Finals (WJCF) to be hosted in Cape Town
from the 23 to the 28 October 2007. The ITTF
has scheduled an Advanced Umpires raining course
to precede the WCC. This course will begin on
the 21 October at 14h00 and end with the writing
of the exam on the 22nd October at 15h00. The
course will be open to all South African IUs with
some conditions for those IU who qualified in
2006. The WCC and WJCF will be a great
opportunity to see some of the best young talent
emerging onto the International Stage and I wish
to encourage as many of you to come to this
event. Stay Well Ganief Fataar President ______
