Finishing at Night
  • Ensenada is a BIG CITY. Dont be fooled into
    heading for the lights of El Sauzal (north of
    Ensenada)
  • Look for the strobe lights on the Finish Boats
  • The wind often drains down the cliffs at night to
    give a bit of an offshore breeze, but there are
    rocks and kelp near shore
  • The wind in Todos Santos Bay typically dies at
    dusk….another reason to stay away from shore.

Finishing During the Day
  • Follow the faster boats finishing ahead of you
  • Watch for spinnaker take-downs
  • Use the NOSA GPS coordinates for the finish line
  • If its windy, there is often a traffic jam at
    the finish

Engine Log For Cruise Class
Engine Use is Restricted 8PM-8AM 12 hours maximum
for entire race
Minimum use is 30 minutes

Did Not Finish
  • If you started the race, but cannot finish, you
    must report that you are dropping out of the race
    no later than 1100 on Sunday.
  • At the Finish Line (stay outside of the finish
    line)
  • At Race HQ at the Bahia Hotel
  • By telephone at (949) 644-1023
  • After 1100 on Sunday, all boats that have not
    finished will be scored DID NOT FINISH (DNF).

Trophy Presentation
  • Trophy Presentations are scheduled to begin at 2
    PM on Sunday in the courtyard of the Bahia Hotel.
  • Perpetual Trophies will only be presented to the
    Skipper, an appropriate alternate, or a Flag
    Officer of the Skippers Yacht club.

Whats Different
  • You will be entering the U.S. from a foreign
    country
  • What you have and who you have on your boat will
    be subject to inspection by U.S. Customs
  • You must submit a Masters Oath form at U.S.
    Customs

  • Skipper must submit a Masters Oath at U.S.
    Customs in San Diego (Masters Oath in Skippers
    Packet)
  • This is the list of crew entering the U.S. on
    your boat (could be different than was submitted
    on Crew List)
  • DO NOT BYPASS San Diego

Masters Oath
  • Vessels returning by trailer MUST have the
    Masters Oath signed by the U.S. Customs official
    at the point of entry, and it MUST be mailed to
    the San Diego Customs office at the address shown
    on the form.
  • Do NOT surrender this document. Make extra copies
    to leave at the border should it be necessary.
    NOSA suggests you keep a copy of the original
    signed form and note the date it was mailed to
    Customs.

U.S. Customs Re-Entering the USA by Sea
  • You must clear Customs PRIOR to going to the fuel
    dock.
  • Vessels with non-U.S. citizens aboard MUST so
    declare, and will most likely be directed to tie
    up and present foreign individuals paperwork.
  • If your boat is 30 feet or greater, you will need
    a U.S. Customs Decal. Go to NOSA website for link
    to submit an electronic request
