Pete Dye, considered in many circles to be the
most influential golf course architect of the
last 60 years , created three of the most
challenging courses in the game for Casa de Campo
.Playing the course Teeth of the Dog on the
seaside is really exhilarating . Errant balls
collide with ocean rocks like ping pong balls ,
and strong Caribbean breezes challenge each
stroke . His trademark railroad ties, vast
waste areas, peninsula green and tees,
hand-sculpted putting surfaces and unique
assortment of pot bunkers and elevated bunkers
give the course the signature Dye-style. The
"Teeth " has seven ocean side holes , Links is
equally as challenging as the Teeth. Its a
demanding course with water coming into play on
five holes . Dye Fore cliff -side holes dropping
300 feet to the Chavon River below . 12 and 15
are two of the greatest par three holes in the
world
