Mission Statement
  • The mission of the Department of Teacher
    Education is to develop creative and reflective
    practitioners capable of assuming leadership
    roles within culturally diverse educational
    settings in a rapidly changing world.

Reflective Practitioners
  • To BE one you must BECOME one
  • Think about it educators practitioners must
    constantly reflect. Look inward, look outward,
    think about it, talk about it, question the
    status quo What worked? What didnt work? Why?
    Why not? What next?

A Reflective Practitioner
  • Recognizes that he is a work-in-progress
  • Recognizes that she can and will change her mind
  • Recognizes the value of lifelong learning
