Why program was created

• Hospital orientation is required for all nursing
  and allied health students going to clinicals
• Problems with traditional face-to-face
  orientation
• Not all students are able to attend
• Delay in starting clinical practice
• Lengthy sessions

• To create orientation that would
• Be efficient
• Be cost-effective
• Be self-paced
• Be available for students at various times
• Include all necessary information
• Allow us to document student participation

Hospital Buy-In

• Set up meeting with hospital educators
• Discuss problems regarding traditional
  orientation
• Offer possible solution online orientation
• Discuss benefits of online orientation

Hospital Feedback

• Thanks for all your hard work. We do not have to
  spend extra time for those who do not attend the
  general orientation. Maybe next year we will have
  to do away with the face-to-face general
  orientation because were spending a lot of time
  and money.
• I want to do my hospital orientation totally
  online, too.

  so that they can do the online orientation too.
