Communication process
  • 3 step process
  • 1st-communicate with HEAD COACH
  • 2nd- A) request to meet/talk with athletic
    coordinator head coach
  • B) appeal to the District AD
  • 3rd-request to meet/talk with the Principal

Academic Eligibility
  • Read the academic eligibility in the brown
    information bulletin

Middle School Participation
  • If no program exists in the middle school, 7-8th
    graders can compete on the high school teams.
  • If a program does exist, 7-8th graders can
    compete on the varsity(if they make the varsity
    team)

Transfer rule
  • 1st transfer is freeif the athlete is enrolled
    in the school on the first day.
  • If the transfer occurs during the school year,
    the athlete must sit out 50 of the varsity
    contests for 1 calendar year.

Physical forms
  • Doctor must use the High School League Form
  • Physical must be updated every 3 years
  • Must be on file at Jeffersonathletic secretary.

Summer Waiver
  • Coaches may coach the high school players from
    the 4th Friday in May through July 31st.

NCAA ELIGIBILITY
  • 14 core class requirement for NCAA eligibility
  • Please see your counselor for more information
    AND the back page of the athlete information
    packet.

Chemical Harassment Hazing
  • Committing an act, that creates a substantial
    risk of harm to a person (physical, mental,
    intimidating)
  • Harassment, hazing, chemical, drug abuse all
    carry the same violation penalties.
  • 1st offense 2 weeks, 2 contest (longest)
  • Loss of Captainship for 1 calendar year

  • Familys must assume responsibility for potential
    expenses of under 25,000.

Transportation
  • Varsity and JV no busing to Bloomington contests
  • (Except football team)
  • 10-9 teams will bus TO contests in Bloomington,
    but NO RETURNING busparents must pick up
    athletes.

  • Invitation to join
  • Description of activities (fundraisers, banquet
    set up, pasta dinners etc.)
  • Positive support to the team, coaches, school
  • 15 registration fee per school yearbuilding
    reservations.
