  • The Food Chain

This presentation is meant for 1st-3rd graders in
an LS Classroom. This will be read to the
students the first time it is presented. During
the quiz portion, the students will be assisted
with the reading portions. This will accompany a
science unit on animals and their habitats.

Trophic Levels Carnivore, Insectivore,
Omnivore, Herbivore
For this lesson the students will review the
understanding of food as a basic need of all
organisms. The learner will be introduced to the
definitions of carnivore, omnivore, insectivore,
and herbivore. The primary skill the students
will gain will be connecting the appropriate type
of food with the name of the animals given
trophic level.
