Vinyasa is a Sanskrit word that describes a broad

'to place' and 'vi' means 'in a special way'.
Vinyasa yoga symbolizes a flowing, dynamic form
of yoga, where postures are linked together using
breath. The positions in Vinyasa yoga are like
the Surya Namaskar in which a series of 12 yoga
poses are done dynamically one after the other.
In Vinyasa yoga there are more than just these 12
asanas, which help to exercise more muscles and
internal organs. The main thing is that all the
asanas are done in a rapid sequence and in a
series of movements that are synchronized with
breathing. In Vinyasa yoga, emphasis is mainly
on breathing, and generally, upward movements
correlate with inhalation and downward movements
with exhalation. The continual movements provide
an added cardiovascular benefit, which other
traditional forms of yoga do not.

Some of the asanas done in Power yoga include
Tadasana (Palm tree pose), Ardha Chakrasana (Half
wheel pose), Pada Hastasana (Hands to feet pose),
Bhujangasana (Cobra pose) and Adho Mukha
Svanasana (Downward dog Pose). All the poses,
especially all the forward and backward bends and
the twists are designed to burn fat in areas
around hips, thighs and abdomen. The transitions
between two asanas in Power yoga are sometimes
held longer than the traditional transitions.
This is mainly done in order to increase physical
endurance. This also helps you focus on one thing
