by Private partner and the same is recovered on
periodical basis from the govt after services are
rendered. - The contracted period is typically 3/5 years.
- Faculty/ facilitator is provided and trained
periodically by the partner - Teachers of the school are all trained and given
all the required support to ensure CAL - All equipments supplied are maintained by the
private partner - Team of experts are deployed to extend necessary
support to ensure seamless flow of info and
update on progresses made in each school - The contract is in the nature of a Build Own -
Operate - Transfer (BOOT) arrangement, wherein
all assets are transferred to the school at the

11RMSA Setting up of computer labs in secondary
schools
- Educomp has successfully set up over 14000
Computer labs by providing Hardware, Software,
Computer faculties, courseware, as per the needs
of State govts., under BOOT/BOT/BOO Models -
- RMSA may plan to look into the advantages of the
same - model for setting up of Computer Labs of
Secondary schools
12RMSA Bridge Course for enhancing learning
ability of students who pass out of class VIII
- Educomp has expertise of providing ICT education
to Govt school children teachers in several
states. Educomp is thus aware of the differences
in the achievement levels of learning in
different states. - We also provide bridge Course in ICT at 8th
level in some states so that at 9th level
students are taken through the same curriculum - It is thus essential to have a bridge
course in ICT at 8th level to enhance the
learning ability of students in ICT and to take
them through for the secondary curriculum
smoothly.
13RMSA IN- Service Training of Teachers In ICT
- Educomp has been Organising ICT training,
Training in pedagogy to facilitate ICT
integration in Education effectively to thousands
of school teachers across the country. - Mainly training is organised for School
faculties, School Teachers and School
Administrators. - Training is provided in 10 Regional Languages
including Bodo, Assamese, Bengali, Gujarati,
Kannada,Telagu etc. - Hands on Experience on Computers is an essential
part of training. Training Modules in Appropriate
languages are prepared for each training.
14RMSA Distance Learning
- Educomp has established Distance Learning Centers
through satellite connectivity state of art
labs. - At present, English learning courses for
teachers/students, - online training for aspiring chartered
accountants have been taken up thro these
centres - The facility is also being tried out to organise
on-line ICT training for school teachers /
faculties together with planned Hands on
sessions. - Distance Learning may be appropriately used in
ICT Teacher Training.

- Educomp has dedicated web portals to enhance ICT
capacity building of secondary school teachers. - WiziQ site provides free online access to
teachers helps them build their own lesson
plan and to organize virtual class room on the
net. - Experience suggests that Teachers need help in
making lesson plans, planning projects ,
Assessment Remediation etc in making ICT
classes successful - Appropriate use of Web Technology is thus
one of the ways of - empowering teachers.
16RMSA Maintenance of Computer Labs
- Some of the Steps followed are as follows.
- Keeping the Computers peripherals in good
working condition is - done through well organized online/offline
Maintenance Mechanisms . - Establishing Regional, State level offices and
having District level block level Coordinators to
monitor the program - Use of Toll free number for immediate feed back
redressal. - Training the Faculties on essential maintenance
skills - Frequent Power cuts, non-availability of
maintenance personnel in remote rural areas
,Breakdown or Slow internet connectivity etc.
have to be addressed.
