Create an Environment for Turnaround Success
  • Develop a compelling strategy and direction at
    the district level regarding how to improve the
    lowest performing schools.
  • Establish organizational systems and structures
    to support a turnaround initiative.
  • Ensure that there is an aligned curriculum and
    effective instructional infrastructure that is
    clear, coherent, data-driven and high-quality
    instructional strategies.
  • Put in place leadership that is willing and able
    to act to initiate turnaround and see it through
    to completion.
  • Establish human resources/talent management
    practices that support turnaround initiatives and
    sustain high performance in schools
