states. - Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin became the first
men to set foot on the moon.
4- Imagine you are a reporter for a childrens
magazine in the year 1969. - You have been given an assignment by the news
editor to research the events of July 20, 1969
and write a front-page article.
5Work with your research groups to write this
article.
6When Neil Armstrong got out of the Apollo 11
space ship, he stepped out onto the moons dry,
dusty surface to become the first person to walk
on the moon.
7Millions of people around the world were watching
and listening to this historic moment!
8As Neil Armstrong took his first step, he spoke
the following words Thats one small step for
man, one giant leap for mankind.
9Lets pretend we will be traveling to the moon.
What would you like your first words to be?
10Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin left a plaque
embedded on the moon that read Here men from
the planet Earth first set foot on the MoonJuly
1969A.D.We came in peace for all mankind.
11What would you like to write on the plaque that
you will leave on the moon?
12Your board should be almost full by now.
13Take some time to prepare your presentation.
14- Things to keep in mind while presenting.
- Hold your head up.
- Be proud of your work.
- Stand still.
- Smile and enjoy yourself!
15Good bye! We had a lot of fun visiting your
class.
16We hope you will continue your research in space
