15
Chapter Support of the Make and Take
  • IPMS Niagara Frontier, after a successful Region
1 convention issued the following challenge to
    all chapters
  •  Our members proposed that we share an additional
200.00 towards the program, if you can raise a
total of 2000.00 (including our 300.00) this
year from other clubs.  We view this as an open
challenge to other clubs to participate. We
strongly believe in the "Make Take" program
serves an important introduction to this hobby,
with a big side benefit of promoting parental
    involvement.
  • Dick Schulenberg, Treasurer Niagara Frontier

IPMS Advisory Committee
28
IPMS Advisory Committee
  •  Rationale- As the current membership is
"graying", membership numbers are dropping, the
percent of members who do not re-join is too
high, and printing and postage prices are only
going to rise, to remain a viable, vigorous
organization, it is prudent that at the outset of
the 21st Century, IPMS/USA examine itself to
ensure that it is meeting the current and
possible future needs of the plastic modeling
community and to foster membership growth.

29
IPMS Advisory Committee
  • Charge- This committee will review the
structure and function of any and all aspects of
    IPMS/USA and make recommendations for
change/improvement to better meet those needs in
the future. The committee's actions may include
written, mailed or electronic surveys, and
personal interviews.- The committee will be only
advisory in nature. Any and all recommendations
from this committee must be submitted to the IPMS
E-board for review and/or any action.- Twelve
months after the committee has formed and
received its charge, it will submit a report to
    the IPMS/USA E-board with its observations/recomme
ndations. Upon submission of that report, the
    committee will be disbanded.
