OBJECTIVES OF THE YES, WE CAN PARANÁ MOVEMENT
  • Know and make known the situation of the
    Millennium Goals in Paraná.
  • Encourage the voluntary commitment of people and
    institutions to reach the MDG by 2010.
  • Create spaces for dialogue, consolidating a
    Paraná work network for the MDG.
  • Encourage the execution of projects, programs and
    actions to achieve the MDG in the state.
  • Monitor the Millennium Indicators to check the
    progress obtained.
  • Encourage the organization of practice
    communities aimed at disclosing and multiplying
    the successful ones.

STRATEGIES ADOPTED FOR ITS IMPLEMENTATION
  • Awareness campaigns regarding the importance of
    the Millennium Goals
  • Identification of institutions that develop
    projects related to the MDG in the state. 
  • Implementation of an Information and
    Communications System.
  • Holding of Dialogue Circles and structuring of
    Local Work Nuclei and Knowledge Circles.
  • Elaboration of Reference Chapters for the 11
    regions of Paraná, indicating demands and
    projects to achieve the MDG.

DIALOGUE CIRCLES
APPRECIATIVE INVESTIGATION Constructivist
methodology, which brings to light the collective
imagination of the dreamed future, planning and
putting shared actions into effect.
THREE ROUNDS HELD in EVERY REGION OF TH STATE, 58
Dialogue Circles and more than 13 thousand
participants.
Testimony I participated in the Dialogue
Circle and understood we could better contribute
by taking the idea to the entire company, to all
the collaborators and excellent ideas have
emerged for cultural change, destined for the
preservation of the planet. Even the companys
catalogs began to indicate responsible

WORK CIRCLES
Volunteer group formed from the dialogue circle,
comprised of different social agents who have the
role to detail and implement the priorities
established in the Dialogue Circle and monitor
the results obtained.
KNOWLEDGE CIRCLES
Group gathering people with the most diverse
skills, with the responsibility of identifying,
analyzing and technically supporting
opportunities and local projects.
19 DEVELOPMENT CIRCLES structured with more than
150 projects identified.

MOBILIZATION, ACTION AND MONITORING
The Movement is an invitation to ACTION
associated with MONITORING. PARTNERSHIP with
ORBIS Sustainability Observatory ORBIS
collects, manages, analyzes the information and
monitors the indicators, making the results
available so they can subsidize the formulation
of public policies and define programs and
projects geared towards economic and social
development.
Testimony We find it fundamental to have
information, presented in an easy manner to be
understood and assimilated, thus making it
possible to know reality and to take firm and
objective initiatives to improve life in the

STUDY ON THE MOVEMENTS CONTRIBUTION TOWARDS
REACHING THE MDG - 2007
- 245 respondents, 185 said they carry out some
project - 77 motivated by the Movement - 65 are
geared towards the Environment and 52 towards
Infant Mortality
Note The 185 projects attend to more than one
objective.

TESTIMONIES We began to include awareness
about the MDG in the adaptation process for each
new collaborator. Business Owner participating
at the MNPP I became very sensitized with the
MDG, due to the scope they represent in their
entirety and the possibility I have to
participate in the solution be able to
participate in an action structured in goals and
indicators, which is a global concern, highly
mobilizing know that my action, regardless how
small, contributes towards improving the quality
of life is very gratifying. Volunteer at

to write projects capture funds and obtain
technical support, which made it possible to act
successfully, with results, improving life in my
