History of Roseland
  • Acres of wild roses once grew here which
    inspired its first post office to
  • be called Roseland. Roseland has some of the
    best agricultural land in
  • the state and today is home
  • to around 250.

History of Bladen
  • Established in 1872.
  • The Webster County Fair and Rodeo has been in
    Bladen since 1905.
  • The main center for grain in the community is
    still in Bladen.

History of Campbell
  • The Little Blue River attracted settlers to the
    area that is now call Campbell.
  • Campbell maintained an active business district
    through the 1960s except in the depression years.

History of Holstein
  • Stories from the early days suggest the village
    was in the making in the early 1870s.
  • The coming of the railroad gave a boost to the
    community.

School History
  • The Bladen Bulldogs and the Roseland Cardinals
    consolidated in the 1986-1987 school year. In
    1988, the Campbell Cardinals merged into the
    Silver Lake School District. In 2006, the
    Holstein Wildcats joined.

Technology
  • On January 8, 2008, the students each received
    their own personal laptop.
  • I think its a good thing because each and every
    student can have learning at their hands at all
    times - how efficient!
