Match Fitness
  • To have the ability to execute all necessary
    techniques and tactics at demanded speed without
    loss of precision, in pace and direction, for the
    duration of the match.

Match Requirements
  • Prepubescent
  • Game duration 50-70 minutes
  • Distance covered 4-6 km
  • Pubescent
  • Game duration 80-90 minutes
  • Distance covered 8-11 km

Physiological components
  • Aerobic demands
  • Include light walking, jogging and or running
    anywhere from 10-17 km/hr
  • Anaerobic demands
  • All maximal and supra-maximal running lasting
    1-30 seconds.
  • Anaerobic phosphagen system energy (ATP and Pcr)
    lasting 8 sec. or less
  • Anaerobic glycolytic system lasting 10-30 sec
