  • Research the Company You Are Interviewing With
  • Understand industry, operations and performance
  • At minimum, Annual Report and web site should be
    reviewed
  • Ensure Your Resume Is Updated and Complete
  • Be Dressed For Success

  • Determine what skills will be vital to the
    position.
  • Get information on position from Career Fair, web
    site, success stories, etc.
  • Once skills have been identified, think of how
    you have demonstrated them.
  • Make notes of examples
  • Not all examples have to be positive

  • BI is a structured technique that was developed
    to improve accuracy in predicting success on the
    job.
  • It accomplishes this by targeting behavior that
    leads to success on the job.

  • Why is Behavioral Interviewing used?
  • There are 2 advantages for the employer in the
    use of BI.
  • Past behavior is the best indicator of future
    behavior.
  • Employers can learn more from real situations and
    specific behaviors than from theoretical
    questions. (How would you, what do you think)
    that tend to give "perfect answers".
