Title: Brett Chepenik - Benefits Of Lunges

1
Brett Chepenik Benefits Of
Lunges
2
The Lunge is an exercise performed to work lower
body muscles including quadriceps, hamstrings and
glutes. The lunge exercise starts in a standing
position with a shoulder- width distance between
the feet. A step is taken forward so the heel
touches the surface first and the angle at the
knee should not extend beyond 90 degrees (this is
to prevent causing stress on the knee).
3
The body should remain upright throughout the
exercise and is completed after returning to the
start position. Lunges can be executed with or
without weights .One of the important benefits of
lunge exercise is strengthening and toning the
leg muscles. There are a variety of lunge
movements such as side and walking lunges.
4
Side Lunges are similar in movement to forward or
backward lunges, with the primary difference
being the placement of the foot. . Walking Lunges
require the individual to move forward, step- by-
step. Walking lunges apart from working out the
hamstrings, quads, buns and inner thighs, also
can provide good cardiovascular exercise to the
body if done without rest.
5
Lunges should be considered as an important part
of ones exercise regimen .Brett Chepenik is the
founder and creator of Timed Exercise, a
revolutionary program designed to improve the
fitness of any committed individual- regardless
of fitness level, age or gender in less than 30
minutes .The program uses several variations of
the lunge exercise
6
The program includes body and free weight
movements to create a high intensity workout
designed for each individual to train at his or
her maximum level of effort. A graduate of Emory
University, Brett Chepenik was recognized as a
2004 Jacksonville Business Journal Up and
Comer, an achievement given to those in the
community who are making an influence or
difference in their industry.
