  • A member saved is a treasure to be guarded!

  • Imagine you're trying to fill a bucket with
    water. Every drop you put in should increase its
    contents, but if there's a leak then you may end
    up losing more water than you gain.
  • Think of membership in the same way every new
    Knight you add won't help your membership
    increase and grow stronger if you lose existing
    members.

  • Encourage member to get involved in a council
    activity
  • Escort member to 2nd and 3rd Degrees

    his 3rd Degree
  • Each council MUST have an active Retention
    Committee

RETENTION COMMITTEE DUTIES
  • Promote Supreme State retention policies
  • Work with the Financial Secretary to identify
    members in need of personal contact
  • Review membership records monthly to identify
    problems in a timely manner
  • Develop a script and conduct training

  • Recognize symptoms
  • Member is rarely seen at functions
  • Formerly active member suddenly stops coming to
    meetings
  • Member is reluctant to advance in degrees
  • Financial delinquency

  • Medical problems
  • May qualify for exemption from dues based on
    disability
  • Check to see if member qualifies for HLM
  • Check Social Security Death index to ensure that
