Our Water Activities

Day 1 2-17-03 written by Briseyda

• Today we created a water cycle in a baggie.
  First, we went to get dirt to put in the baggies.
  Next we planted two bean seed in the dirt. Then
  we watered the seed. Last we blew in the baggie,
  and sealed the baggie.
• We also made journals and we called them Water
  Logs.

• Today we learned about the water cycle.
• We learned that condensation is when the water
  forms in the clouds. Precipitation is when the
  water falls as rain to the ground and gets
  minerals from the ground to form ground water.
  Evaporation is when the water goes back up in the
  air and you cant see it when it goes up.
• We learned that different water levels make
  different sounds in jars when you hit them. It
  sounded like music.

• We learned that water bonds things, mixes things,
  dissolves things ,so we made Kool-aide.
• We learned that water makes ¾ of the Earth and
  our bodies .
• We decorated our room like under the ocean.

• First we made coffee filter fish. We painted the
  fish with marker and water. We painted the
  background blue . Then we studied fresh water
  and salt water.

• Today we had a party under the sea. We watched
  The Little Mermaid and ate pizza. We also wore
  shorts and hats and sunglasses. We played in
  sand with shovels. We had a blast with a LIMBO
  contest. The winner won certificates to Red
  Lobster.
