How is My Packet Approved?

• The CERP Commission is comprised of working
• professionals who volunteer to review packets
• Your packet is reviewed by three members
• It is a peer review process evaluating your
  training,
• experience, and contributions to the
  profession
• If your packet is incomplete, you are provided
  the
• opportunity to fill in the gap, and we assign
  you
• a point of contact to facilitate completing
  your
• credential

What do I Need to do?

• Experience Two years in an emergency services
• job or related field (1 year with a BS degree)
  
• Volunteer time (Red Cross, CAP, etc) COUNTS
• Document response to a major incident,
  disaster, or
• participate in a multi-agency full-scale
  exercise
• Two references who can talk to your
  qualifications
• Completion of a Basic Training course leading
  to
• initial certification in your job (Fire Rookie
  School,
• Basic Law Enforcement Training, EMT Course,
  etc)
