  • Nanoimprinting lithography has been developed to
    pattern ferroelectric polymer P(VDF-TrFE) with
    various morphologies and excellent pattern
    transfer quality (Fig. 1). The ferroelectricity
    of the patterned films have been confirmed by
    both microscopic surface potential measurement
    (Fig. 2) and macroscopic ferro-electric
    hysteresis loop (Fig. 3). The optimal imprinting
    tempe-rature is identified to be around 140oC
    (Fig. 4).
  • Efforts is currently undergoing to fabricate
    multiferroic composite using patterned
    ferroelectric polymer films as template, which
    will lead to a novel composite process technique
    with precise control on the size, morphology, and
    distribution of second-phase fillers, resulting
    in superior functional properties.
