The parable of the sower.
  • Rocky path- represents the evil one because they
    snatched away the world.
  • Rocky soil- shallow roots which means some
    peoples faith is shallow.
  • Among thorns- represent temptations because they
    choke Gods word.
  • Good soil- represents hearts of people who want
    to hear Gods word.

  • The man who found the Treasure represents God.
  • The field represents the world.
  • The treasure represents us.
  • Selling all he had means giving Jesus to die for
    us.
  • Bought the field means redeemed the world for
    himself.

  • The merchant looking for pearls-God
  • The pearls he already owned-riches of heaven
  • The pearl of great price-us
  • Selling all his other pearls-giving Jesus to die
    for us
  • Buying the pearl-redeeming us for himself

The parable of the prodigal son
  • The father divided his property between his two
    sons.
  • The youngest son squandered all his money.
  • He began to be in need so he found a job feeding
    pigs.
  • He came to his senses and went back to his
    father.
  • His father saw him from a distance and was filled
    with compassion

The prodigal son continued
  • He ran to his son and threw his arms around him.
  • They had a feast and celebrated.
  • The older son was angry because he never
    disobeyed his fathers wishes.
