IMX 5-DAY BASIC CERTIFICATION
IMX FLOOR (mat) CERTIFICATION This course
teaches you the fundamentals of the IMX (spinal
decompression, forced exhalation, pelvic, ribcage
and spine stabilization) and choreography using
the ring and body bars (3, 6 or 9 lbs). Routines
combine elements of strength training with
pilates style exercise to challenge the club
member in a safe and progressive manner. You
will learn how to teach beginner, intermediate
and advanced class formats. The lectures and
exercise labs review the goal of each exercise,
its target muscles, verbal/tactile cues and
common posture adjustments. 20 Practice
Hours Written and Practical Exam Required. IMX
XERCIZER (reformer) CERTIFICATION This course
teaches you the variety of sequences that are
performed on the Xercizer. The eight IMX training
sequences including pelvic, ribcage, spine l,
spine ll, back extension, flexibility, abdominal
and hip flexor, hip ROM. provide you with
formats that can be modified for many different
levels. The lectures and exercise labs in this
course provide specific instruction and research
on stabilization, breathing, alignment and muscle
recruitment techniques. The goal of each
exercise, its target muscles, verbal/tactile
cues, adaptations and common postural adjustments
are reviewed. 20 Practice Hours Written and
Practical Exam Required.

IMX 5-DAY ADVANCED CERTIFICATION
Learn new exercises as well as a variety of new
formats that target specific workout goals --
expand your the eight basic sequences into over
65 sections of innovative exercise (endless
variety!) The Advanced Certification gives
experienced IMX Pilates Trainers and Instructors
NEW research and choreography. Several versions
of the following formats are covered during this

programs for pregnant clients, golfers and people

IMX HRT CERTIFICATION
Most pilates workouts do not challenge the
cardiovascular system but IMX Pilates does! This
course reviews a series of unique workouts that
integrate Indoor Cycling, Jog Boards,
Treadmill/Elliptical Trainers, with Plyometric
series on the Xercizer (reformer). Regular
cardiovascular exercise improves the efficiency
of lungs, heart and blood circulation. These IMX
workouts will improve your client's circulation,
muscular strength/endurance, posture, and range
of motion. This course covers the following
topics Principles of Heart Rate Training
Rate of Perceived Exertion (RPE) Cycling
techniques Jog Board Choreography The formats
can be programmed to range in length from 30-90
minutes. To complete the IMX Heart Rate Training
Course, instructors must have a current CPR
certification. Course comes with a 54-page
instruction manual. Note The DVD of the IMX Jog
Board choreography must be studied prior to class
attendance. Length 2 days (900 a.m. - 530

IMX YOGA CERTIFICATION
The IMX Yoga Certification This course teaches
the eight standing and six floor sequences.
Formats can complement a 20-30 minute cardio or
Xercizer workout (hybrid) or stand alone as a 60
minute workout. IMX Yoga is a total body workout
which stabilizes the spine, increases joint
mobility, and refreshes the mind. IMX Yoga was
designed to offer clients slower and more
meditative endurance exercises which improve
range of motion, balance, and synchronize breath
with a progressive series of postures. This 2-Day
Course includes Research review on relaxation
techniques and breathing Research review on how
stress reduction impacts diseases Techniques
for muscle inhibition, visual imagery,
contract-relax techniques Distinction between
postural muscles and peripheral muscles Each
sequence will be reviewed for its target muscles,
verbal cues tactile cues. The instruction manual
includes step-by-step photographs and
instructions on how to teach each sequence as
well as pertinent vocabulary and research.

more versatility than the traditional pilates
Cadillac.

IMX BAR, TOWER AND CYCLE CERTIFICATIONS
The IMX Bar, Tower and Cycle Programs can be
offered separately or in combination in a variety
of ways. The Tower Program improves range of
motion, strength and stabilization and the IMX
Cycle Program provides an intense cardiovascular
workout by combining cycling with upper body
resistance and core stabilization. The IMX Bar
Program focuses on balance control, flexibility,
standing stabilization and ballet movement. These
three programs in combination provide endless
options for total body conditioning!

IMX SPINAL XERCIZE
An estimated 80 percent of Americans suffer from
back pain. Exercise is one of the most effective
tools for recovery. Learn how to design effective
spinal fitness programs. Lectures and exercise
labs review posture analysis, manual stretches,
back care research, and demonstrate the
effectiveness of IMX Pilates for back health.
Comes with 99 page instruction manual. The
following three aspects of training are
emphasized Therapeutic Exercise -- Learn how to
select the appropriate floor and Xercizer that
condition the Spine Stabilization System. The
exercises focus on muscular balance and core
muscle recruitment patterning during limb
movement. Trunk muscle strength and endurance
results from progressing the client through
clearly defined skill levels. Home programs are
given to help the client continue corrective
muscle strengthening. Stretch and Manual Traction
-- Stretch protocols increase mobility, joint
play and decrease hyper-tonicity in the hip and

FOR OWNERS AND BY SELECTION ONLY In the Master
Trainer course, franchise studio owners learn how
to run their own staff certifications. This
certification is for experienced instructors to
gain a deeper understanding into the proprietary
lectures and exercise labs that distinguish the
IMX Pilates education. Detailed presentations
guide Master Trainers step-by-step through the
certification schedule and content. Length

IMX Pilates Studio Model
  • There are three offerings for franchise
    prospects
  • 1) A Full Studio of 1000-3000 square feet with
    3.5-4.5 full time instructors and 8-15 Xercizers
  • 2) An Express Model franchise of 400-800 square
    feet with 2 part-time instructors and 2-6
    Xercizers
  • 3) An Area Development Agreement in which the
    investor acquires a territory to sell IMX
    Pilates Studios and earns revenue on both the
    Initial Franchise Fee and the royalties of
    his/her customers.
