  • Formed in 1992 to develop present programs that
    promote an understanding of positive attitude
    toward basic science, mathematics, engineering
    systems.

  • All SSG programs use technology to relate the
    value of understanding enjoying science to

  • semester pilot course via satellite TV
  • Has grown to a full year science course

Science Essentials
  • Home school program based on the award winning
    SOOTW.
  • The lessons supplemental materials are derived
    from the same curriculum, but adapted to meet the
    needs of home school students parents.

Camp Discovery
  • Summer camp offered for students between the ages
    of 8 to 18.
  • Each year Camp Discovery campers participate in a
    week of activities designed to give the
    opportunity to train like NASA astronauts.

  • Campers select from three camps according
  • to age groups
  • First Camp deals with children between the ages
    of 8 to 10 with a parent. It is offered once
    during the summer is shorter than the other
    camps.
  • Basic Camp is for students between the ages of 10
    to 14 has two summer sessions.
  • High School Camp involves grades 9 through 12
  • is held once during the summer.

  • Able to provide real life hands on activities
    based on actual NASA procedures.
  • Campers participate in alternating missions
    Terrestrial Odyssey, Lunar Odyssey, and Martian
    Odyssey.

Practice Run
  • A LEAP/GEE test preparation program developed by
    the SSG for 8th grade LEAP science math.
  • Offered in two forms online CD.
  • Includes over 1,500 sample math science LEAP test
    questions, test standards, test taking tips,
    test dates.

    for the same areas of the 4th grade LEAP test

Cyber-Quest
  • A weeklong day camp of computer-based activities
  • Experience in using various computer programs to
    design web sites graphics.
  • NSU faculty staff teach classes on HTML, ASP,
    Paint Shop Pro, Animation Shop Pro, Microsoft
    Excel Microsoft Power Point.
