  • Inexpensive modeling clay
  • Pipe cleaners
  • Aluminum foil
  • Wax paper
  • Baby wipes
  • Miscellaneous craft supplies wiggle eyes, pins,
    styrofoam balls fishing line

  • Construction Paper
  • Crayons, Markers, Colored Pencils
  • Scissors
  • Glue Sticks
  • Digital Camera (required)
  • Tripod (essential)
  • PowerPoint XP or later

The Process
  • Start with storyboarding
  • Proceed to clay creations
  • Take pictures (Filming)
  • Place pictures in PowerPoint (Production)
  • Adjust timing/effects
  • Add audio if desired

Clay Creations
  • Create a backdrop
  • Create characters
  • Size is NOT important take close-up pictures
  • Relative size IS important compare characters
    to each other
  • Consider mobility when creating characters

Mobility
  • Minimize amount of clay used for each character
  • Use foil or styrofoam ball covered with clay
  • Make characters bendable
  • Wrap clay around pipe cleaners

Filming
  • Take plenty of pictures at the lowest resolution
  • Move characters approximately ¼ inch between
    shots
  • NEVER move the camera after you start filming
  • Make sure the camera is on a firm surface

Production
  • Start with a title slide
  • Insert pictures
  • Preview and make adjustments
  • End with credits

Other Things to Consider
  • Takes approximately 4 5 classes (1 ½ hour
    classes)
  • Size of files varies up to 10 MB depends on
    the number of slides
  • Save the file as a runtime it can be played
    anywhere
