  • Learners construct knowledge for themselves,
    engaging with the world.
  • Learning is an active process rather than a
    passive assimilation of information or rote
    memorization.
  • Learning is contextual - we learn in context
    with what else we know. Learning focuses on
    wholes and not on isolated facts.
