• ICD-10 Tenth version of the International
  Classification WHO
• First published in 1893 (Ddeath)
• ICPC biaxial seventeen chapters and seven
  components - WONCA
• first published in Holland 1987
• Read Codes Currently hierarchical system, - NHSIA
  
• due to be replaced with SNOMED CT

• UK could be the odd-one-out in Europe
