Title: The Divine Flute Vamshi A journey to a spiritual world of ancient mystic music.
1The Divine Flute VamshiA journey to a
spiritual world of ancient mystic music.
2A unique program of Bharatanatyam (South Indian
Classical Dance) and English Poetry
3The Flute is the primordial instrument of
nature. In the Indian tradition the Vedas (three
thousand years ago) refer to it as the Venu and
Vamshi ,old Tamil texts (two thousand years ago)
refer to it as Kuzhal.
4Indiras views on her production-
- I see this instrument as simultaneously
embodying life,creativity,art,and the magic of
nature. In its surge of music, the flute becomes
the meeting point of the divine and the human. It
is both the human soul and its message bearer,
the object of envy and adoration. I wanted to
explore the subject in its rarest dimensions. The
flute teaches us many lifes lessons

8Hark! We hear the echo now! Hark ! that sound
again!A stark primeval sound blissful from the
holes of a tiny bamboo flute !The fertile flute
till now remains A reflection of our frames
Let us, instead make ourselves a reflection of
its graceHollowed out and pure,And shorn at
once of all our deadly foes ---Love,Anger,Jealo
usy,Greed,Lust,Arrogance.....Thus hollowed out
and pure,Let that same primeval soundTremble
like a temple bell Right through our weary
shell--As if through dark infinite spaceAnd
reach us to that final place Of bright eternal
Bliss !!!
