Analysis of Data
  • Our survey shows a strong positive correlation
    between self-esteem and anxiety (r 0.414).
  • Self-esteem accounts for 17 of the variance
    levels of anxiety(R2 0.1714).
  • Line of Best Fit (y 0.3197x 8.0751)
  • Slope For every 3 unit increase in level of
self-esteem, the level of anxiety decreases by 1
    unit.
  • Examples
  • If a student had a self-esteem level of 10 (25
being best), we would predict they would have an
anxiety level of 11.27 rating for anxiety (20
    being best).
  • If a student had an anxiety level of 15 (20 being
best) we would predict that their self-esteem
level would be 22 (25 being best).
