BCBL (Gordon) Mission FY03 Beyond
BCBL (GORDON) MISSION TASKS
  • Support all TRADOC battle labs and proponents in
experimentation / CD functions across the
    Objective Force mission areas
  • Execute battle command and branch proponent
    experimentation technology assessments to
    bridge capability gaps
  • Manage the BLCSE NOSC (fixed/deployable assets,
    Joint/Strategic gateways)
  • Provide risk mitigation for acquisition PMs
(WIN-T, JTRS, FCS, SATCOM, ACUS MOD, OF BC, IA
Security Products) -Honest Broker role for the
evaluation of C4 solutions (proposed by vendors,
    et al)
  • Deploy advanced communications networks to
    support live force play in
  • exercises and demonstrations (Army
    Joint)
  • Provide the Armys conduit for the rapid
    integration / fielding of advanced
  • C4 technology ( legacy interim forces)
  • Provide the means and standards to integrate
    Communications / Network
  • Realism into Warfighting Modeling and
    Simulation Tools
  • TRADOCs VV agent for comm realism / comm
    effects MS
  • Execute experimentation in area of Homeland
    Defense C2 Force
  • Protection

BCBL(Gordon) PRIMARY FOCUS AREAS
Dominant Maneuver throughCollaborative Planning
Situational Awareness
  • Network / Execution Centric BC Environment
  • (strategic to lowest tactical levels)
  • Advanced C4ISR Information Superiority
  • Homeland Defense Command Control
  • Joint, Interagency, Coalition Interoperability
  • (Joint Interdependence)
  • Sensor to shooter linkages (organic Joint)
  • Network centric attributes to enable
  • revolution in military logistics
  • Information Assurance Protection
  • Risk Mitigation For WIN-T, JTRS, FCS

Massed Effects Joint Organic

Triad BCBL(Leavenworth) Battle
Command BCBL(Huachuca) - ISR
  • Objective Force Network-Centric Capabilities for
    UA/FCS and UE
  • Battle Command focused
  • Joint, Interagency, Multinational
    interoperability
  • Risk Mitigation for numerous programs

Unique Capabilities Within TRADOC
  • Robust Laboratory Environment Using Live Systems
  • Worlds Most Advanced Deployable Comm Systems -
    14.3M Of Assets
  • Network Operations Security Center For TRADOC
    Battle Lab
  • Collaborative Simulation Environment (BLCSE)
  • Core Technical Staff ( Engineers, Computer
    Scientist, ORSA)

5
BCBL (Gordon) - Defining the Objective Force
  • Network-Centric TRADOC Experimentation!
  • Network Operations and Security Center (NOSC) for
    Battle Lab Collaborative Simulation Environment
    (BLCSE)
  • Connecting proponents for experimentation
  • Essential network-centric objective force
    evaluation!
  • Communications realism modeling and simulation
    development
  • Campaign of NETWORK experiments (MAPEX UA 1-03
    14-18 April)
  • Presence at all proponent experiments for UA/UE
  • Enabling battle command of large formations in
    joint environment!
  • Live, deployable experimentation for joint and
    combined exercises,
  • connecting live, constructive and simulated
    forces
  • Warfighters experience virtual battlefield
  • Soldiers evaluate emerging technologies

6
BCBL(Gordon) Inserting Capabilities into the
Force
  • Evaluate/develop concepts/emerging technologies
and TTP for bridging capabilities between
    generations!
  • 13 systems developed and fielded to force in
past 6 years (4ID, SBCT, III Corps, XVIII Corps,
    82Abn, etc.)
  • Brigade Subscriber Node (BSN)
  • Battlefield VTC (BVTC)
  • 11 others
  • Two systems developed and fielding now
  • TDMA SATCOM (CENTCOM Operation IRAQI FREEDOM)
  • PRISM Homeland Defense C2 Information
    Management System (IMA)
  • Partner with industry/PMs/DCDs to adjust
current programs based on live experimentation
    and experience!

WE DELIVER!! TODAY!!
BCBL(G) delivers todays technology approaching
tomorrows capabilities based on warfighter
requirements!
