coded with flags, to help younger students
    identify their bus.

10
Afternoon Dismissal
  • While waiting for their children, parents are
asked to stand in the corral area or remain in
    their car.
  • Each parent must have a dismissal card in hand
(if out of the car) or in the front windshield
with the students first and last name on it in
order to pick up a child.
  • If you do not have a dismissal card, you will be
asked to go into the building to check out the
    student.
  • Again, parents who need to enter the school are
welcome to park in the gravel lot to the right of
the school in order to keep pick-up traffic
    flowing.

11
Rainy Day Dismissal
  • Definition of a rainy day dismissal
  • A downpour or heavy rain
  • (If there is a light rain shower dismissal
procedures will remain as they are on normal
    days.)
  • Bus riders will be dismissed from the second
grade hallway loading one bus at a time.
  • Daycare riders will be dismissed as usual, out
the fifth grade hallway, and will load one van at
    a time.

12
Rainy Day Dismissal
  • Cars will form a double line in the center of the
parking lot as they do on normal days.
  • All parents will need to get out of their cars,
walk up to the flagpole and have their dismissal
    cards in hand.
  • Car riders will be kept under the front breezeway
and in the front hallway. As each student hears
their name called by Coach McGowan or Coach
Kilpatrick they will be escorted across the
    crosswalk to their parent.
  • Once the car line is loaded and moved we will
call the remaining students to their cars. It is
very important that you have your dismissal card
on the right side of the dashboard with the names
of the child/children clearly written on it.

13
Rainy Day Dismissal
  • Please understand that your child/children may
still get wet, but we are hoping that this will
keep the students as dry as possible.
