2Introduction of the story
Teacher asks Are you afraid of the lion? How
about mouse? Do you think lion is the strongest
animal in the forest? Do you agree that small
animals are useless?
Now , there is a story about a lion and a mouse
and lets see what happened to them!
3Process
Step 1 Pupils access to the following website
and listen to the story The Lion and The
Mouse. http//www.bbc.co.uk/littlekids/stories/in
dex.shtml Step 2 Distribute the WebQuest to
pupils. Step 3 Pupils need to finish Part I of
the WebQuest individually. Step 4
Pupils need to access to the following websites
to find out information about
lions and complete Part II. They
will be given 15 minutes to finish

4Step 5They have to write an essay on what they
have learnt from the story. They
have to present their writings to the
class. Step 6 Get into groups of 5 and do the
role play in class.

6Evaluation
- WebQuest check their understanding of the story
and of the content of the website - Writing task to see whether the students can
express their ideas fluently in their writing. - Role-play to check whether the students can
grasp the main ideas of the story or not.

- In listening to the story and doing the
role-play, pupils can foster their listening
skill. - In Part I and Part II, they can expand their
knowledge about lions. They can enhance their
reading skill(Scanning and skimming) as well. - In writing task, they can develop writing skill
through expressing their opinions. - In the role-play and the presentation, they have
to speak up and this helps them to build up
their confidence.
