EIP

• Funded program to help students function on grade
  level
• Meets 45-50 minutes daily
• Small group setting
• Reinforces classroom skills
• Uses lots of manipulatives
• Utilizes computer programs-Primary Reading, SOS,
  Math Facts in a Flash, A

Criteria

• CRCT scores below 800 in grades 2-5 (given in
  spring)
• Informal tests-SORT, Dolch, BLT-indicating
  student is performing below grade level (given at
  beginning, middle, and end of year)
• Teacher Recommendation/checklist
• Test results reported to parents!

How Do I Know If My Child Qualifies?

• Parents will receive a letter indicating
  eligibility.

Communication

• Weekly folder-sign and return the following day
• Communication Log
• Email/notes
• Monthly newsletter
• Conferences
• SST meetings( if applicable)

Grades

• No grades taken in K
• Grades taken in 1st-5th
• Grade sheet given to classroom
• teacher weekly.

Suggestions

• Go over papers sent home in weekly folder
• 1st-5th grade read daily for AR (Accelerated
  Reader)
• Complete any homework sent home
• Keep each other informed
• Use activities on home page for reinforcement

Eligibility/Withdrawal

• Placement for the following year is based on CRCT
  results taken in the spring, teacher
  recommendation, classroom performance and
  informal test results.
• Letter will be sent home at the end of the year
  recommending placement for the following year.
• Parent will receive eligibility or withdrawal
  letter based on results.
