  • Then the Mexican birthday tradition is to chant
"Mordida! Mordida!" after the candles are blown
out, then you jam the birthday person's face into
    the cake.
  • Throw the birthday person into a pool fountain or
in case of not having one, throw some balloons
filled with water at the birthday person.
  • Mexicans usually have large amounts of people at
    the party.
  • When they invite friends they usually bring other
friends or family along with them.

The Mexican Birthday Song!
  • Las Mañanitas is a traditional Mexican song that
is sung on birthdays and other important
holidays. It is often sung as an early morning
serenade to wake up a loved one. At birthday
parties it is sung before the cake is cut.

song which means On the day you were born the
birds are singing, the moon has gone to bed so
    wake up to the dawn.

    Mexican birthday tradition.

The American Birthday!
  • There is a very familiar American birthday song,
that is sung in most American birthday parties
and starts with singing Happy Birthday to you
    Happy Birthday to you
  • Usually the song is sung when the lights are
dimmed and the cake is brought in with candles
flickering. It is one of the most popular
    birthday traditions.
  • We now use the birthday candles to signify the
age of the child - but some sources tell us that
the historical meaning could point to the light
of the candles offering protection from evil
    spirits.
