    going to evaluation
  • Voting online for univ. and club elections
  • More training and use of blackboard.

Strategic Issues Beyond 2003/04
  • Transfer the teaching infrastructure (and Cal
Poly culture in general) to support rather than
    continue ignorance or suppress technological
    accomplishments of ITS
  • Teachers need to take active role in conveying
how technology is a tool for students education
    and where these tools are.
  • Many constituent suggestions include
  • Faculty should learn and implement blackboard.
  • Professors should announce location of labs, they
or lab assistants should introduce labs,
equipment, resource info in intro major classes.
  • Post ITS labs in tours and on maps. Post lab
hours and locations every quarter in class
    schedule.
  • Create a Portal tab for tech.
  • In short, change the Cal Poly culture to
encourage tech use. If info distributed through
teachers, all Cal Poly collateral material, etc.,
tech will be engrained in culture.
