Program Parameters

• Students divide into teams of 5 and choose a team
  name
• Each student sets up an English Hotmail account
  following formula A3englishname_at_hotmail.com
• Each student creates Personal Profile and submits
  a photo
• Teams choose a font, an animated logo, and create
  a team identity
• All work is handed in electronically

Nativist Model Learning as predisposition
Rote learning is arbitrary and verbatim. It is
not integrated into the cognitive structure of
the learner. It is exemplified in learning lists
of vocabulary outside a contextual framework

Language Acquisition

• Learning must be meaningful in order to be
  effective and permanent Brown 198758

Language acquisition is the subconscious process
of integration. Meaningful learning is relatable
to what one already knows and can be generalized
into ones existing cognitive structures.
Learners go for meaning first. Parents rarely
correct the grammatical errors of children, they
instead respond to the context and the content.
Communication relies as much on context as it
does content.
