1900 - 1910
  • In the year 1901 the book Peter Rabbit was
    published, Italian inventor Marconi transmitted
    the first ever radio signals, on the 23 October
    Queen Victoria. In the year 1904 the first
    performance of Peter Pan was performed. In 1905
    the first bar of Dairy Milk Chocolate was made.
    In 1906 the first modern battleship the HMS
    Dreadnought was launched and the Ritz Hotel
    opened its doors. And in 1909 the first
    trolleybus was demonstrated.

1910 1920
  • In 1911 the English folk dancing society was
    founded. In 1912 the HMS Titanic hit an
    hhuugggggee iceberg. In the year 1914 the horse
    drawn bus gave its last journey. In 1918 women
    over the age of 30 gained the right to vote in
    the general election YYYIIIIPPPPPPPEEE!!!
  • In 1919 the book the young visitors was
    published when the author Daisy Ashford was only
    9 years old.

1920 - 1930
  • In 1923 the first ever FA cup final was held at
    Wembley stadium. In the year 1926 the general
    strike was called to prevent a decrease in miners
    wages. The first Winnie the Pooh book was also
    published in the year 1926 also in this year John
    Logie gave the first demonstration of
    television.1927 the bbc started broadcasting and
    in 1928 Alexander Fleming invented penicillin .

Captain Scott
  • Captain Scott was an explorer who left the docks
    of Cardiff bay to go and explore and be the first
    man to reach the south pole. He set of on his
    expedition on the 17 July 1912 but when he got
    there with his team he found that a Norwegian
    explorer called Robert Amundsen had beat him.

Neil Armstrong
  • On the 20 July 1929 an American astronaut called
    Neil Armstrong and his crew Buzz Aldrin and
    Michael Collins ventured to the moon in the
    Apollo 11. He was the first man to reach the moon
    and his famous words were One small step for
    man and a giant leap for mankind. Some people do
    not believe that he did not actually go to the
    moon and it was all filmed in a secret studio.
