• Leuven.Inc wants to build a permanent bridge
  between the enterprising knowledge creators and
  the technology entrepreneurs, that complement
  such knowledge, and to create out of this
  supplementary relationship a healthy and dynamic,
  future-oriented, expanding prosperity in the
  region of Leuven.
• To reach this goal, the network wants to be a
  platform of communication that brings together
  local knowledge creators. To do this Leuven.Inc
  will arrange special projects and events, for
  members as well as for a broad audience,
  corresponding to all the aspects of its
  objective.
• At the same time, Leuven.Inc wants to actively
  participate in the international network of the
  knowledge community, aiming to stress the
  advantages of the area of Leuven as an essential

IMEC from research to market

• IMEC is a program-driven research center
  research is carried out in RD programs in which
  companies, universities and research institutes
  can participate, through a variety of cooperation
  schemes tuned to the needs of industry.

IMEC and spin-offs

• IMEC is very much engaged in strengthening the
  industry in its home region of Flanders. This is
  realized by the creation of spin-off companies,
  joint research projects, training, feasibility
  studies, process and product innovation,
  technology transfer or prospecting services.
• IMEC supports local industry by founding spin-off
  companies. During the first phase, the so-called
  incubation phase, spin-offs are supported through
  seed money and infrastructure, and these new
  companies can seek help from IMEC staff.
