Japanese Products
Japan has historically been known to be a nation
that produces new products using innovative
technology. While I spent a summer in Japan, I
noticed that a lot of the products I saw there
were not offered yet in the U.S. For the most
part, these products were clever, effective, and
caught my attention. However, there were also
products that I found to be creative, but mainly
hilarious. This is a collection of new products
that have been introduced recently around the
world by Japanese companies that I have found to
be more on the creative, hilarious side.

Meow-Lingual
Takara has come out with Meow lingual for cat

Bow-lingual, it reads a cat's voiceprint and
interprets the feline's feelings and speech using
a vocabulary of more than 200 words. Next, Takara
is going to install a communication mode that can
help understand the cat's mood. The data analysis
will even measure how well a cat is suited to its
owner.

I hope these products have demonstrated a bit of
what product technology can do. Many of these
products seem silly, but have obviously generated
some interest among a target market of consumers.
Japan is a fascinating country with a great
capacity for new ideas and products. I urge
those of you who are interested in this type of
product innovation to learn more about the
country and their progressive technology.
