How to Grow Antique Roses
Sunshine Choose a spot that gets a minimum of
4-6 hours of sun each day. This is a must! Good
Soil Dig a 2x2 ft. hole and fill with 1/3
original soil, 1/3 rich topsoil, and 1/3 organic
humus and/or composted manure. Plant it right
the first time and you will be rewarded with
beautiful roses for years. Water Roses like a
good deep watering once or twice a week if there
is no rain. Fertilizer Roses are heavy
feeders! Use a slow- release fertilizer
(Osmocote or Multicote). For even more flowers,
also give them regular doses of liquid
fertilizer. Remember, adding organic amendments
each year feeds the plants and improves the soil.
