Aim of the PLUS strategy
To raise significantly the literacy and numeracy
levels of children and young people in order to
prevent crime and re-offending

NDP for Young People
  • Success in one area, and the enthusiasm it
    engenders, can transfer across to other areas of
    learning. The impact on self-esteem has been
    remarkable. Its been fascinating to witness the
    young peoples engagement in practical tasks and
    to see them recognise they CAN learn and are GOOD
    learners. (basic skills tutor)
