YFCs What criteria for selection?

• Catchments analysis (Location, Population
• Health Issues/ARH Issues
• Health Centres (Facilities/Equipment, Staffing,
  Activities and Collaboration)
• Support from Community (local leaders, teachers,
  parents, mass organization)

YFCs How to take off?(1)

• Process for selection
• Conduction of re-assessment missions with EAs and
  IAs to 5 (out of 7) RHIYA provinces 35 CHCs
  visited, 22 selected.
• Discussion with local people (PC, DoH, YU, WU,
  CHC) about RHIYA and YFCs (purpose, key
  activities, challenges).
• Analysis and Scoring at UNFPA Office
• Final selection and report to partners

• Sensitization activities
• The EAs, IAs, TAs and local people (PC, DoH,
  parents, teachers, community leaders, ...) were
  informed about RHIYA and YFCs through
• the process of YFC selection
• orientation/sensitization meetings organized by
  partners
• community meetings
• youth meetings
• in-school meetings

• Upgrading, Piloting/testing
• YFCs have been upgraded according to ARH Toolkit
  Guidelines
• Youth have been involved during upgrading process
• select name for the YFC
• decorate the YFC (painting, choosing/drawing
  pictures, selecting furniture...)
• ARH Toolkit piloted at 4 YFCs (3 in Haiphong 1
  in Hoabinh)
• establish and upgrade the YFC
• train staff
• comment on the draft of the ARH Toolkit
• pre-test IEC materials on youth
• provide the services to youth

• ARH Toolkit Training for HSPs and Health
  Promoters (including Training on Advocacy, BCC
  and Counseling)
• IEC Material Development and Distribution
• Provision of services to youth at YFCs and in
  community
• IEC
• clinical services
• counseling (face-to-face and hotline)
• mobile services
• out-reach activities (youth meetings, community
  meetings...)
• monitoring and reporting
