  • Students are assigned to a TAG when they enter
NNEC and they stay in that same TAG throughout
    their high school years.
  • Each TAG consists of a teacher and 5-7 students
    from each grade level.

26
K12 PLANET
  • A website (www.k12planet.com) that gives
  • students and their parents/guardians access

    information
  • about school events, etc.
  • A username and password is required to use this
    site.
  • Students receive this information from their TAG
    teachers in September.
  • Parents receive their own password through the
mail during the month of September.

27
School Connects
  • An automated phone system that calls the homes of
students who were inexcusably absent from classes
    each day.
  • The calls are made to the phone numbers that are
listed in our system as the places of residences
    for the students.

28
Grade 9 Orientation Day
  • On April 24th, all grade 9 students from the four
feeder school will be coming to NNEC.

29
Timetables/Schedules
  • There will be a day in late August when students,
who are entering grade 10 next year, can come to
the school and pick up their schedules.
  • This is an opportunity for the staff in Student
Services to make changes/corrections that are
necessary for a successful start to the school
    year.
  • When the date is confirmed, it will be included
on the students June report card, as well as
    advertised in the local newspaper.
