The One Stop System
  • The Workforce Investment Act of 1998 establishes
    the framework for delivery of workforce
    investment activities at the State and local
    levels to individuals who need those services,
    including job seekers, dislocated workers, youth,
    incumbent workers, new entrants to the workforce,
    veterans, persons with disabilities, and
    employers. (20CFR 661.100)
  • The One Stop delivery system creates a seamless
    array of partner services in one area called a
    One Stop Center.
  • The One Stop partners are committed to a delivery
    system which coordinates employment, training and
    education, labor market data, and other workforce
    related services emphasizing customer service,
    customer choice, and overall personal prosperity.

Supportive Services
  • Supportive services, including disability
    specific services, are available to clients to
    ensure universal access to core
    employment-related services.
  • Supportive and referral services are available
    for child care, transportation, social welfare
    agencies (WVDHHR), housing, and disability
    programs and more.
  • A Disability Program Navigator is available for
    individuals seeking assistance with One Stop
    services and the WV Division of Rehabilitation is
    a mandated partner.
